Start a relay race in tax assessments and in payment notices of the taxman. L'Inland Revenue announced that from today the Rav bulletin - used in 2018 for 15 million payments - will be gradually replaced by the new pagoPA payment form, the introduction of which is foreseen by the strategy of the Italian Digital Agenda.
HOW THE NEW PAGOPA MODEL IS MADE
The new pagoPA module contains two sections to be used alternatively based on the chosen payment channel: one for "Banks and other channels", with a QR code it's a CBILL code, and one for payments to "Poste Italiane", with the Data Matrix box.
The essential element is the "payment form" code, made up of 18 digits, which links the form to the folder or deed to be paid. PagoPA can be used both for payment in a single solution and for payment in several installments.
HOW TO USE IT AT PHYSICAL COUNTERS
If you pay at the bank, at the post office, at the tobacconist's or at the collection agency counters, just hand the pagoPA form to the operator, who will use the section with the data relating to the chosen payment method.
HOW TO USE IT ONLINE
Those who pay online – via home banking or with the telematic services of the Revenue – must enter the 18-digit "Payment module code" and the amount to be paid shown in the pagoPA module.
HOW TO USE IT VIA THE APP
Payment is even easier through app with smartphone or tablet: just scan the QR Code or the Data Matrix (the square barcodes) and the system will immediately identify the payment to be made.
WHAT ABOUT THE RAVs
As regards the Rav bulletins, those connected to communications already sent (for example for the scrapping-ter of folders) can still be used for payment.
Furthermore, in this first transitional phase, the Agency itself will continue to send some communications with the Ravs inside, who will therefore continue to be accepted without problems.
