Finmeccanica should evaluate the partnership hypothesis, not just think about asset disposals. This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development, Flavio Zanonato, underlining that “there are not only the possibilities of divestments but also the possibility of finding partnerships to develop products and markets. It is a hypothesis that is being discussed not only in my ministry but in the entire government”.
Speaking at the aerospace show in Le Bourget (Paris), the minister reiterated that “the main objective of the government is to maintain a strong industrial presence in Italy and, in the divestments, we do not want production to be moved. The entry of foreign capital must not translate into a shift of production, which must remain in Italy”.
