“I will not hesitate to divest businesses that do not contribute to growth. There are no more sacred cows in Finmeccanica”. They are the words ofCEO of Finmeccanica, Mauro Moretti. During the presentation of the 2014 financial statements to the financial community, the former number one of Trenitalia specifies that theFinmeccanica's goal is to have a sustainable and profitable group and which now, after the transfer of transport, is completely focused on the core business of aerospace and defense.
Regarding the sale of Ansaldo Breda and Ansaldo Sts, Moretti observed: “The sale to Hitachi it was the best possible result for everyone: companies, stakeholders, employees”.
With regard to the 2014 financial year, Moretti specified that for Finmeccanica it ended with "results beyond expectations". Finally, returning to the industrial plan of Finmeccanica, Moretti concluded his presentation speech to the shareholders by saying that it is "a serious recovery plan to restore international competitiveness and give value to shareholders".
This morning Finmeccanica gains 0,7% in Piazza Affari. At 11,30, the Finmeccanica stock stands at a value of 11,37 euro. From December to today, the value of Finmeccanica shares has grown by over 40%.
