It's official: Gianni De Gennaro will be the new president of Finmeccanica. In fact, the shareholders' meeting approved the appointment of the prefect to the board of directors, of which he will be the president. De Gennaro was designated by the Ministry of Economy, reference shareholder, to replace the former number one of the group Giuseppe Orsi, who resigned in recent months.

The new president of Finmeccanica, Gianni De Gennaro, will have the delegations for group security, internal auditing and institutional relations. The Ministry of the Economy, the company's main shareholder, has in fact recommended to the board of directors to give prefect De Gennaro these functions. During the shareholders' meeting, the representative of the Treasury, Stefano Di Stefano, expressed his "recommendation to the board of directors to assign De Gennaro as chairman also the functions of internal auditing, the institutional relations area and the group security area".

Green light from the shareholders' meeting also to the appointment of Alessandro Minuto Rizzo to the board of directors. The ambassador was designated by the Ministry of Economy, the company's reference shareholder, to replace former director Franco Bonferroni, who resigned in recent months.
