Finmeccanica wins orders for 240 million

The Finmeccanica group has already won orders worth 240 million euros, through its subsidiaries Selex ES and Agusta-Westland. This was announced by the Italian giant on the first day of the Paris Air Show, the Paris aerospace show.

In detail, Agusta-Westland received a request for 20 helicopters (total value 200 million) confirming "the important success achieved by the family of new generation helicopters" and "its role as a leading helicopter company in all major commercial applications such as VIP/corporate transport, medical evacuation/search and rescue and offshore transport”, reports Finmeccanica in a note.

Selex ES has instead signed a contract worth around 40 million with the general directorate of civil aviation of Kuwait, for the construction of the network infrastructure (networking data) for the interchange of data at the international airport of Kuwait City. In particular, the three-year agreement known as KADIN provides for the supply and installation of complex systems, both hardware and software, for the management of data traffic between the numerous airport systems already operational or which will be integrated in the future. The contract also provides for logistical support for four years.

The news positively influenced the share prices: at 14,00 pm, in Piazza Affari, the Finmeccanica share recorded an increase of 2,91%.
