Fiat postpones verdict on Chrysler

Fiat could wait longer than expected for the Delaware judge's arbitration ruling on the price of the Chrysler shares that Lingotto will purchase from the Veba fund (purchase that takes place on the basis of a call option that has already been partially exercised). According to sources cited by the Bloomberg agency, Judge Donald Parsons could not decide on the merits of the matter "at the latest by the third quarter" - as Sergio Marchionne had so far expected - and "instead start a real debate, where witnesses and experts can be interrogated by both sides» says Charles Elson, director of the Corporate Governance center at the University of Delaware, in an interview with the American agency.
