Fiat: Pomigliano mobility? Inaccurate comments, there is no urgency

From Lingotto they specify that "no initiative can be launched by the company before the conclusion of the procedure, or at least 45 days from the start" - "The return to work of these workers is only conditioned by market demand".

Fiat: Pomigliano mobility? Inaccurate comments, there is no urgency

“The initiatives announced by the Fip of Pomigliano d'Arco are giving rise to comments that are in many cases irrelevant and inaccurate. The company specifies that the mobility procedure has a pre-established procedure and technical times to allow the persons in charge and the trade union organizations to examine the reasons". Fiat communicated it today, trying to put a stop to the controversy over the events of Pomigliano d'Arco, which yesterday also saw the ministers take the field Corrado Passera and Elsa Fornero in defense of workers. The clash concerns Lingotto's decision to mobilize 19 workers in the Campania plant, in order to make room for the same number of workers registered with Fiom whose reinstatement was imposed by the labor judge, establishing that they had been fired for reasons of trade union discrimination.

"No initiative can be launched by the company before the conclusion of the procedure - continues the note from Fiat -, or rather at least 45 days since its inception, i.e. since 31 October last. There is therefore no urgency. The 19 applicants have an open-ended employment relationship with Fiat Group Automobiles, which has never been interrupted, and currently benefit, like other 1000 employees, from the layoffs treatment area, the subject of a specific union agreement signed on 6 July 2011. The return to work of these workers, with the transfer to the Fip company, is solely conditioned by the demand of the Italian and European car market, currently far below forecasts”.
