Completed the circle of nominated of the new Council of Federation of the Sea for 2024-2027. During the assembly, the decision of the Assembly of 28 November was unanimously ratified, which designated Mario Mattioli including president for the next three years. Subsequently, the Council proceeded with the appointment of the three vice-presidents, the general secretary, the deputy general secretaries and the presidents of the Committees, who will begin their mandate starting from 1 January 2024.
“As I have always said, joint and supportive action by all the players in the blue economy supply chain is important – stated Mattioli – which is why I am particularly pleased to be able to include Federchimica-Assogasliquidi in the Sea Federation from today, hoping for a further expansion of the our associative structure for an increasingly effective representation of the entire Italian maritime cluster alongside the competent institutions".
The governance of the Sea Federation
The confirmed vice presidents are Anton Francesco Albertoni (Confindustria Nautica), Luigi Giannini (Federpesca) e Claudio Graziano (Federpesca).
Laurence Martin, head of Confitarma's International Relations service, was reconfirmed in the role of general secretary of the Federation.
The appointed deputy general secretaries are Giorgio Berlingieri (Aidim), Alessandro ferrari (Assiterminal) e Lorenzo Paolizzi (Assiterminal).
The Council also decided to establish several Committees on specific topics, each with a dedicated president:
Energy transition and Decarbonisation: president Gianni Murano (Unem)
Simplification: president Alessandro Santi (Unem)
Geopolitics: president Claudio Graziano (Assonave)
Human capital: president Eugenio Massolo (Merchant Marine Academy)
Inclusion, Diversity, Gender Equality: president Mario Mattioli (Confitweapon)
During the meeting, the Council also decided on the membership of Assogasliquidi, the national association that represents companies that distribute LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) and LNG (liquefied natural gas).
