Over 500 electronic invoices issued and more than 65 user companies. It is the balance of the free electronic invoicing service of the Chambers of Commerce. A year and a half after the introduction of the obligation for all public administrations to receive invoices only and exclusively in electronic format, the online platform made available free of charge by the chamber of commerce system is therefore confirmed as a very useful tool for many small and medium-sized enterprises public administration suppliers.
The service, born from an agreement between Unioncamere and the Agency for Digital Italy, is created by InfoCamere and accessible at the address https://fattura-pa.infocamere.it. It allows SMEs registered on the portal to manage the entire life cycle of electronic invoices at no cost (compiling, sending, managing and digitally storing them for ten years), up to 24 electronic invoices a year. The online platform can also be reached both from the individual Chambers of Commerce websites and from the single point of contact provided for by the European Services Directive www.impresainungiorno.gov.it.
"The high use of the FatturaPa service repays the efforts made by the chamber system to spread electronic invoicing among small and medium-sized enterprises and thus also encourage a wider use of digital technologies by the Italian production system", comments the president of Unioncamere Ivan Lo Bello. "Digitalization, on the other hand, is a path of modernization of the country in which the Chambers of Commerce believe with conviction and to which they can make an important contribution".
Among the 65.431 companies that registered on the portal and used the platform of the Chambers of Commerce, the most active are the 2.604 companies in Bolzano which, as of last September 20, had issued 29.457 electronic invoices to the Public Administration. Regular visitors to the portal are also the 1.751 companies in Trento, which are responsible for 15.887 electronic invoices, then the 1.722 companies in Rome, which issued 13.943 invoices.
