Fastweb closed 2016 with net profits of 95 million euros, more than tripled compared to 2015 (+239%). Total revenues, on the other hand, amounted to 1.795 million euros, with an increase of 3,4% compared to the 1.736 million euros of 2015.
Customers increased last year by 7% (+154 thousand compared to the end of 2015) reaching 2,4 million. 34% of Fastweb customers, equal to 810.000 subscribers, are connected to the new generation fiber optic network, with a 25% growth compared to 2015. Fastweb has a 34% share of the ultra-broadband market in Italy.
Fastweb's operating profitability recorded strong growth in 2016. The gross operating margin (Ebitda) reached 661 million euros, an increase of 15% compared to 576 million euros in the previous year (+8% net of extraordinary games).
Margins increased by four percentage points to 37%, while free cash flow amounted to 98 million euros and grew by 119% compared to 2015.
