Facebook, new algorithm brings important news: here's what changes

Facebook's News Feed Will Change Dramatically In A Few Weeks - More Friends, Fewer Pages - Here's Everything You Need To Know About Mark Zuckerberg's Announced News

Facebook, new algorithm brings important news: here's what changes

Facebook changes again and this time the upcoming news could radically change the experience that its two billion users have every day on the world's most popular social network.

The changes concern the News section, that is to say what we see the moment we connect. Well, Mark Zuckerberg has decided that the way we see the news in a few weeks will have to radically change. More updates shared by friends and family, fewer posts, videos and images from Public Pages.

A change that will be introduced all over the world and that could literally overturn the way in which, currently, thousands and thousands of people "live" Facebook.

What will happen? Gradually posts from Pages will begin to decrease in our News Feed and, in parallel, those published by friends and family will increase. The goal of the new algorithm was explained by Zuckerberg himself: to increase "significant interactions" between users, decreasing what he defines as "passive content" such as videos and articles.

Based on forecasts, the new algorithm should change not only the way users are on Facebook, but also the time that could be significantly reduced (with an important impact also on the revenues of the Silicon Valley giant, given that advertising will inevitably decrease).

But the basis of the change is not only the desire to make us "live better" on social networks but also that of arving the increasingly worrying phenomenon of “Fake News” which are increasingly influencing the politics and economy of the various states (the most striking example is undoubtedly the election of Donald Trump. If the number of Pages in our News section is reduced, the number of fake news also decreases with which we risk coming into contact, even if obviously the hoaxes will continue to circulate anyway.

What to do if you are fond of some pages and don't want to miss any of their contents? Interact with them. Comments, likes, reactions will in fact lead to a greater possibility of seeing their content.

Following the announcement of these news, Facebook shares lost 5,2% today on the Nasdaq.
