Get better in September investor confidence in the Eurozone. It is the first time this has happened since last March. The Sentix index rose to -23,2 points, while in August the figure stood at -30,3 points. The improvement came as a surprise, considering that analysts had even estimated a worsening of the indicator to -30,5 points.
“The main reasons for the general improvement in confidence could be the persistent assertive attitude of ECB President Mario Draghi – explains Sentix in a note – and the intentions of his institution, now concrete, to start buying government bonds of countries in crisis soon if they meet certain conditions.
According to Sentix, optimism on the part of institutional investors is gradually increasing, while private individuals remain more cautious. Among the items in the general index, the one on the current situation grew slightly to -34,8 from -37,0 in the previous month.
