Eurofidi, the Pezzetto era comes to an end. Approved the 2011 budget: turnover at 35,462 million euros

Change at the top for Eurofidi. The largest national confidi, expired on second three-year mandate of the current president Giuseppe Pezzetto, is about to appoint a new president, and will do so with the shareholders' meeting scheduled for May 17th. The new board of directors will also be elected on that occasion.

Meanwhile, the Board of Directors still in office has officially approved the 2011 financial statements of the company. The turnover of the last year of the three-year period under Pezzetto management amounted to 35,462 million euros (a slight decrease compared to the 35,628 million in 2010), while the operating result is equal to 2,587 million euros (632 thousand euros in 2010). Eurofidi's income statement, on the other hand, closed with an operating surplus of 1,939 million euros (48 thousand euros in 2010).

“In these three years – explains Giuseppe Pezzetto – we have pursued a growth strategy even outside the borders of the region. A choice that could not be postponed. The international crisis has put both subjects with whom we traditionally deal in difficulty: banks and SMEs. Thinking also of the three-year period 2006-2009, we have disbursed a total of 15 billion euros in the area. A real support, accompanied by a capillary, oriented consultancy
to create solid capital bases”. Pezzetto also underlines another aspect: “As a team we wanted to privilege innovation, both in the process and in the product. And this is what we leave to those who will take over after us. We have trained all-round consultants – he insists – who in our various offices have been able to support SMEs with discretion and ability. In a short time we will truly be present in all Italian regions”.
