The zero-folder operation is underway a Ferragosto. To officially announce it is Equitalia, which announces the decision of the managing director in a press release Ernesto Maria Ruffini to suspend the notifications of the tax collection notices between 8 and 22 August.
In those days they will be "frozen", therefore, 273.854 acts which should have been notified by mail, to add 86.337 to be sent via certified e-mail (pec), for a total of just over 360 folders which, however, will be "blocked".
“We want to use every tool – explains the managing director Ruffini – to be efficient as a public company that has objectives to achieve, a service to offer, and at the same time, however, must know how to dialogue with taxpayers who are above all people, citizens who cannot perceive the State as an adversary, as an obstacle".
The stop, however, will not be total: “Some mandatory acts (about 20) will still be sent". Equitalia's first summer moratorium follows the similar initiative taken at Christmas 2015, when about half a million folders were suspended from 24 December to 6 January.
