In relation to the ?preliminary investigation pending before the Italian authorities for the OPL 245 affair, Eni announced that the ?verifications entrusted by the Board of Statutory Auditors and by the Body of? Supervision by Eni and an independent American law firm have ?detected no evidence of illegal conduct in relation to the transaction? of Eni and Shell with the Nigerian government of 2011 for the acquisition? of the OPL 245 license in Nigeria.

The checks examined the ?documentation and information held by the company or in any case ?received or acquired following the start of the? investigations. The final report of this report has been made available to the judiciary to which Eni ensures the dutiful cooperation.
