Eni has mandated Banca IMI, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, HSBC and Mitsubishi UFJ Securities to organize the placement of a 15-year fixed-rate bond issue on the Euromarket as part of its Euro Medium Term Notes program outstanding.

The issue - reads a note - takes place in execution of the resolution passed by Eni's Board of Directors on 16 January 2014 as part of the Euro Medium Term Notes program and is aimed at maintaining a balanced financial structure in relation to the between short and medium/long-term debt and the average life of Eni's debt.

The loan, intended for institutional investors - adds the press release - will be placed compatibly with market conditions and subsequently listed on the Luxembourg stock exchange. Eni's long-term debt rating is A3 (outlook negative) by Moody's and A (outlook negative) by Standard & Poor's'.
