Terna is "Italy's Best Employer 2022”: the company that manages the national electricity grid has been recognized as the “best employer in the energy sector”, according to the survey carried out by Statista, an international research company. The ranking was drawn up on the basis of an independent online survey administered to workers.

In detail, the survey involved more than 3 companies and over 20 workers called to measure the quality of their employer through the company's image, sustainability, equipment and conditions, the relationship with colleagues and higher education, work-life balance, development and prospects, salary. The result of the evaluations of the workers led to the attribution of a score which constituted the ranking of the 400 best jobs in Italy.

With around 5 professionals engaged daily in the security of the national electricity system, Terna is at the top of the ranking of the most virtuous companies on the Italian scene with a score of 8.62 and is "strongly recommended" to friends, acquaintances and family, by its employees and other workers in the sector.

To achieve the goals of energy transition, Terna expects a 10% growth in its workforce already in the first 3 years of the Business Plan. Together with the recruitment campaign launched at the beginning of the year, the Group has forecast 100 new hires in the last quarter of 2021 and has started various collaborations with the departments of the STEM area (mathematics, physics, engineering, chemistry) of the most important Italian universities.

Furthermore, the manager of the national electricity grid has launched a series of innovative projects on the smart working front and initiatives to support the employment of women and young parents who need to reconcile work and private life. It is a hybrid model that allows activities to be carried out remotely and within flexible and digitized hubs.

In this regard, Terna has inaugurated two spaces in Rome Smart Hub-Working for their employees. Efficient management of the work experience, also thanks to technology capable of guaranteeing the best conditions of comfort. In addition, by virtue of an agreement signed with the trade unions, from the beginning of 2022 Terna workers will be able to continue working remotely 1 or 2 days a week. As regards young parents, the “MiniWatts”: a new company kindergarten, built in Rome at Terna's headquarters, which houses up to 23 children from 6 to 36 months.
