Enel Gree Power continues its policy of expansion beyond national borders. Yesterday the new Alto do Marco wind farm went into operation, thanks to which the company reaches a total installed capacity of over 191 MW in Portugal, of which 155 MW is wind power.

The plant is made up of 6 turbines of 2MW each for a total installed capacity of 12MW. The structure will produce over 32 million kilowatt hours which will meet the needs of around 12 thousand families and will guarantee savings in emissions equal to 24 thousand tons of CO2 per year. year.

Meanwhile, Enel Green Power has accelerated investments in the wind sector in Romania. From the current 100Mw, “we plan to rise to 300Mw by the end of the year and to over 400Mw by the end of 2012”, explained the managing director Francesco Starace. An amount that should be equivalent to around 550 million euros given that "the level of remuneration for investments decided by the Bucharest government is somewhat similar to that recognized in Italy".
