Enav closed 2016 with consolidated revenues of 865,3 million (+1,8% on an annual basis), Ebitda of 254,9 million (+4,9% compared to 31 December 2015); +8% excluding listing costs. The consolidated net result increased to 76,3 million euros (+15,5%), “best result in the history of the company”, is written in the company note.

“To the economic result is also added the performance for the quality of the service which places us, once again this year, among the best in Europe. We are also particularly satisfied with the results obtained on the non-regulated market where we increased revenues by around 30%, laying excellent foundations for the future. For the current year, we can reasonably expect further revenue growth which, in combination with efficiency initiatives and the optimal use of technology, will allow us to generate an increasing cash flow”, said the CEO of Enav, Roberta Neri (read theinterview given to FIRSTonline in June 2016).

The Board of Enav also resolved to continue the activities aimed at selecting a private partner for the entry into the capital of a NewCo, of which Enav will have the majority of the share capital, for the development and provision of Unmanned Aerial services Vehicle Traffic Management (UTM).

Enav is in fact a signatory of an agreement signed with ENAC on 3 August 2016, by virtue of which the company, as a provider of national air traffic management services, is committed to developing and managing a specific air traffic control system for UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, so-called drones) and to define the methods of providing services through the development of a platform that allows the integration of multiple and complex technologies for the safe handling of remotely piloted aircraft.
