Enav, flights increase in August: +33% compared to July

The first 15 days of August confirm the recovery trend that began in June with over 45 movements managed in 2 weeks, a daily average of 3.200 flights

Enav, flights increase in August: +33% compared to July

After the recovery marked in July, even in the first weeks of August the recovery trend is confirmed of national air traffic that began in June after the end of the lockdowns across Europe.

Last month, ENAV, the company that controls national air traffic, managed almost itriple the flights compared to June, with over 75.200 movements for a daily average of 2.428 flights and a maximum peak, recorded on 31 July, of 3.061 flights. In June, on the other hand, just over 26 movements had been managed, for a daily average of just 866 flights. 

In the first two weeks of August, air traffic in the Italian skies has further increased, up 33% from July. In numbers, ENAV announces that it has managed over 15 movements in 48 days, with a daily average of 3.200 flights. In percentage terms, around 50% of the air traffic recorded in the same period of 2019 was therefore recovered in August, with a further increase compared to July which ended with a 40% recovery of the flown in the same month last year" , announces Enav in a note. 

The progressive recovery of flights in Italian airspace is in line with the increase recorded starting from June also in the rest of Europe. 

The good news communicated today by the company does not warm up the title on the Stock Exchange. On a negative day for Piazza Affari (Ftse Mib -1,26%), Enav shares dropped by 1,94% to 3,538 euros.
