Edison, a new logo for change

The electricity company changes its image to symbolize the new objectives of the company, increasingly focused on renewables - The CEO Marc Beanyoun: "We want to build a future of sustainable energy together with our interlocutors, reaching 40% of our production from renewables"

A new image and a new logo for Edison. The Italian electricity company changes its appearance to represent the company's new positioning and the strategy it has adopted by placing the commitment to sustainable energy and customer needs at the center of its development plan.

A new look based on a new logo with a wide palette of bright and luminous colors, in addition to the historic Edison green which continues to bear witness to the company's attention to sustainability and nature. An iconography based on immediacy and spontaneity, a symbol that expresses energy and dynamism with its movement.

Not a simple aesthetic change, therefore, but the visual transposition of new mission that the company has adopted to keep pace with the profound transformation of the energy sector. Edison, with all the notoriety and reputation that the company has acquired in over 130 years of history and innovation, integrates its image with that of the EDF Group, also testifying in this way EDF's commitment in Italy and the increasingly important role of Edison in the Group's international development strategy.

“We want to build a future of sustainable energy together with our interlocutors, achieving 40% of our production from renewable sources” he declares Marc Benayoun, Chief Executive Officer of Edison. “The recent initiatives that our Company has undertaken to increase the production of energy both from hydroelectric sources, a segment that has seen us pioneers in Europe, and from wind power are the concrete demonstration of our commitment.

"Strengthened by our consolidated experience - continues the CEO of the company -, we want to strengthen our role in renewables in Italy and we do so by concentrating our investments precisely in this country, confirming Edison's profoundly Italian nature".

Edison's priorities today are growth in generation a low CO2 emissions and the relationship with the customer. The full liberalization of the market will put the consumer even more at the centre. Edison intends to play a leading role in this phase with the aim of tripling its customer base through extremely competitive dual-fuel, electricity and gas offers thanks to a flexible and diversified gas portfolio. Innovative energy services will complete the offer, helping to build consumer loyalty.

“The recent integration into Edison of Fenice, a group specializing in energy and environmental services, is a first step in this development strategy that maximizes synergies between the companies of the EDF group: Edison's true added value in this sector”, concludes Marc Benayoun.
