Edison: leaves Andrea Prandi

Andrea Prandi, External Relations and Communications Director of Edison for 12 years, in the light of the new strategies and the new organization, will leave his position within the year, by mutual agreement with the Company. In the coming months, Prandi will continue to collaborate on the company's digital innovation project.

Andrea Prandi began his career as a journalist with Il Resto del Carlino then moving on to corporate communications with Edelman, where he followed the launch of Omnitel, now Vodafone. Subsequently he coordinated the communication activity of Indesit with Vittorio Merloni as president and Andrea Guerra as managing director. He was part of the Government Mission Unit for the Digital Agenda set up by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. He was president of Ferpi and a member of the Board of Directors of the Edison Foundation.

From his entry into the company to today, Andrea Prandi has interpreted and recounted some moments of strong transformation of Edison, with three different transfers of shareholding and management, making an important contribution to the change and transition towards the free market. The Edison brand is now known and appreciated in Italy and abroad, with a total awareness level close to 98% (source swg).

“In the twelve years spent at Edison and in the last 5 within the Edf Group – says Prandi – I have been able to work with many managers, dealing with different styles and cultures. I have tried to learn the best from all of them and I am grateful for the cultural as well as professional enrichment they have given me. There have been exciting moments, such as the construction of the first offshore regasification plant in Rovigo or the more recent Edison Open for Expo, with hundreds of cultural events that have made Edison a strategic partner for Milan.”

“I thank Andrea for everything he has done for Edison and for the Edf Group – says the CEO of Edison, Marc Benayoun – In recent months I have appreciated your propensity and openness to innovation, especially digital innovation, and I am sure that Andrea will also be close to us in the coming months to offer his contribution of ideas and stimuli to the innovation and digital transformation projects we are launching.”
