EDF rejects proposal for Italian shareholders. On the other hand, the sale of the hydroelectric plants is well advanced

The French group rejected the proposal of the Lombard multi-utility which envisaged a value of 1,5 euros per share. Foro Bonaparte would have expressed its assessment based on the book value of the investment, while Paris would like a price in line with market values.

EDF rejects proposal for Italian shareholders. On the other hand, the sale of the hydroelectric plants is well advanced

Edf rejected A2A's proposal on the exercise price of the three-year put option on the remaining 30% of Edison. The French group rejected the proposal of the Lombard multi-utility which envisaged a value of 1,5 euros per share. Foro Bonaparte would have expressed its assessment based on the book value of the investment, while Paris would like a price in line with market values. In reality it was the mayor of Brescia, Adriano Paroli (equal shareholder with the Municipality of Milan in the A2a) who bet on the three-year exit with a price of 1,5 euros.

On the other hand, there are no obstacles in the chapter concerning the sale of hydroelectric plants and the creation of an Italian renewables hub which should be controlled 66% by A2A and 34% by Iren. The new reality should in fact include the three plants that the two main Italian shareholders of Edison (through Delmi) will inherit from the fragmentation of Edipower. The new company should make use of 750 MW thanks to three Edison hydroelectric plants (Udine, Tusciano and Mese).
