This is attested by the 2021 edition of Refinitiv's "Diversity & Inclusion Index", which examined around 11 thousand companies globally and assigned the Hera Group the 42esimo place in the international ranking and second overall among multiutilities. Among the Italians, Hera takes third place.

In particular, the "Diversity & Inclusion Index” is an index created by the international financial information giant Refinitiv (formerly Thomson Reuters), which analyzes the performance of companies on the basis of multiple ESG factors and represents one of the main reference points for investors who look favorably on the realities they adopt a policy oriented towards Diversity & Inclusion (D&I).

This acknowledgment is further confirmation of the attention that the multi-utility has always paid to these issues: the Group focuses on the well-being and development of its over 9 workers, promoting both inside and outside the company a culture based on inclusion. In this area it was a pioneer, with the signing of the Charter for equal opportunities and equality in the workplace in 2009 and the introduction, already in 2011, of the figure of Diversity Manager to enhance diversity, equal opportunities and equality in the workplace.

Furthermore, the multi-utility invests in the development of internal and personalized career paths, with 32,6% of women in roles of responsibility and, more generally, a share of female personnel, equal to 26,7%, above the national average of the sector (2020). Investments in training are also fundamental, with an average of around 26 hours per capita and activities that involved 95% of workers last year.
