“Digitalisation is the key to reducing energy consumption, using natural resources more effectively, promoting efficiency and creating a circular economy – commented Nick Read, CEO of Vodafone – By investing in connectivity and collaborating with other operators in the sector and with policy makers, we can start a better reconstruction, for Europe and its citizens. In July of last year, we pledged to help our business customers reduce their emissions by 350 million tonnes by 2030. Last year, we also set a Science-Based Target Initiative-validated goal to reduce emissions our emissions by 2030 and achieving zero emissions by 2040. And we continue to support Europe in its ambition to achieve climate neutrality by 2050”.
