Juventus-Turin ends in a draw. The 1-1 at the Stadium is a clear step backwards compared to the latest results of the Lady, but above all it risks complicate the Champions League a lot: if Atalanta were to win in Florence, in fact, they would reach the standings, all with one game still to recover. Today, however, it will be the turn of Milan and Rome, who will try to find valuable points for the Scudetto and Europe against Salernitana (20.45 pm) and Verona (18 pm).
Juve-Turin, the analysis of the match
Juve, therefore, stumbles on the grenade step, built very well by the excellent Juric. The 1-1 draw is of little use, because it forces the Bianconeri into the uncomfortable role of no longer being masters of their own destiny, obviously in reference to the Champions League race. Furthermore the Vlahovic effect seems to have already run out: the Serbian played a bad game, partly because of him and much because of a cumbersome and difficult maneuver, so much so that Allegri decided to replace him despite the team drawing. Questionable choice, even if the goal problem dates back to the beginning of the season and not even the former viola striker seems to be able to solve it.
And to think that Juve had passed in advantage almost immediately with De Ligt, scored again against Toro after the goal two years ago. At the time the Dutchman scored with his foot, but this time he scored with a header following a corner (16'), showing that he has an open account with the grenades. However, they didn't break up, on the contrary: Juric's team continued its game as if nothing had happened, raising the center of gravity and forcing the Lady to the usual all-out duels, typical of the Croatian coach's philosophy.
Around the quarter of an hour of recovery the cold shower arrived, that is Belotti's draw, scoring in what could be (and will be) his last derby (62'). Juve was thus forced to abandon the Cortomuso plan and try to score again, but with poor results: the result hasn't changed anymore, which leaves no positive thoughts in view of Tuesday in Vila-Real. Also noteworthy is the umpteenth injury of Dybala, who left the field in the 54th minute and was in doubt for the Champions League match.
Juventus-Turin, the words of Allegri and Juric
“It is a point that is held, because we have followed up on the positive results we have made in the last 2-3 months – the analysis of Allegri – It wasn't easy, we weren't brilliant compared to Turin, but we played a good game. Paradoxically, we conceded in our best moment. In the first half we had two-three situations where we could have conceded goals, but not in the second half. Dybala? It doesn't seem to be anything serious, let's see...".
"We had an excellent match, with a little more lucidity and precision in front of goal we would have brought it home - he replied Juric – The team is growing, we started from a very low level on everything. I regretted the last two games, this time we played with great personality facing Juve openly and dominating for large stretches, but now we have to play more games like this".
Salernitana-Milan
The most important challenge on Saturday is certainly that of the Arechi, where the Milan will visit the Salernitana. A real spin, even if with an asterisk: the Rossoneri are in fact first, but Inter still have to make up for the match in Bologna. Pioli's team has only one result available, because failing in Salerno would mean throwing away a piece of the Scudetto, but up against Nicola's new creature, who arrived at the beginning of the week to seek a salvation that would seem miraculous. In short, it is forbidden to lower the tension, especially since the championships are decided precisely in stages like this.
“It's a tricky match because we're facing a team that has changed everything, including the coach – he confirmed Pioli – We don't underestimate it, but we have worked on ourselves: every match has a particular interpretation, but if we stay in the match with mentality and suffering in difficult moments, we have what it takes to try to win. The team must know that it must face matches with confidence and determination according to our principles of play."
The technician will have to again do without Ibrahimovic, always struggling with tendon problems, for the rest he will be able to count on the whole squad, even if he will have to deal with warnings from Hernandez, Bennacer and Diaz, all at risk of disqualification. His 4-2-3-1 will see Maignan in goal, Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli and Hernandez in defense, Tonali and Bennacer in midfield, Messias, Diaz and Leao in the trocar, Giroud in attack. Nicola, for his debut in Salerno, will opt for a 4-3-1-2 with Sepe in goal, Mazzocchi, Dragusin, Fazio and Ranieri in the back, Ederson, Radovanovic and Coulibaly in the midfield, Ribery behind the offensive duo composed by Djuric and Bonazzoli.
Rome-Verona
The other luxury preview of this Saturday is that of the Olimpico, where the Rome of Mourinho will host the Verona of Tudors. A very delicate match for the Giallorossi, who will however have to face it in full emergency: between Covid, injuries and suspensions, in fact, Ibanez, Mancini, Mkhitaryan, El Shaarawy, Shomurodov and Perez will be missing, furthermore Zaniolo is not well and will go on the bench at most.
“It will be a tough match, also because we have so many absences – he underlined Mourinho – We face a team that has quality and experience, with a young coach who is followed by his boys. We are in difficulty, but we have our people in the stadium who will help us."
The Portuguese, given the many defections, has decided to change his game system and switch to a 4-3-1-2 with Rui Patricio in goal, Maitland-Niles, Kumbulla, Smalling and Vina in defense, Veretout, Oliveira and Cristante in midfield, Pellegrini in the frontline, Felix and Abraham in attack. Classic 3-4-2-1 instead for Tudor, who will respond with Montipò in goal, Casale, Gunter and Ceccherini in the back, Faraoni, Ilic, Tameze and Lazovic in the midfield, Barak and Caprari behind the lone striker Simeone.
