Credit Suisse: the robot makes sparks on the stock market (+31,4%)

Credit Suisse (Lux) Global Robotics Equity Fund celebrates its first birthday with a performance of +31,40%. The fund that invests with a thematic approach by selecting companies operating in robotics, automation, artificial intelligence or security, achieves a record performance in just one year of activity.

According to Credit Suisse, the secret behind success is to favor "pure player" companies, i.e. those companies in which at least 50% of the turnover comes directly from this sector. The fund, unrelated to short-term market trends, aims to achieve long-term capital growth, while maintaining adequate risk diversification. It focuses primarily on three areas in which automated systems with high growth potential are used: increased productivity; improvement of the quality of life; performing dangerous tasks.

“Robotics is not science fiction, but everyday life. Companies and individuals are increasingly turning to automation“, says Frank Di Crocco, head of retail distribution at Credit Suisse Asset Management. “Increasingly careful standards and regulations on quality and safety, combined with the need to reach ever higher levels of productivity and efficiency, will drive the development of this sector, for which we see ample room for growth in the long term”, he concludes.
