It is the kingdom of Joseph Cutraro, he left from the Neapolitan Spanish quarters in search of fortune and landed in the Ville Lumiere with his brand new successful restaurant. Peppe was the winner of the 2021 Ranking of 50 Top Pizzas, the online guide dedicated to the iconic product of the Neapolitan gastronomic tradition which for five years has been rewarding the best pizzerias in Italy and in the world, and was also awarded the Special Performance of the Year 2021 – Prosecco DOC Award.

Behind Peppe Pizzeria in Paris it placed “Via Toledo Enopizzeria”, in Vienna created by Francesco Calò che makes his pizzas with a personal blend, "Intensa" (formula kept strictly secret) to offer a light, digestible pizza with an intense flavor beyond the final filling.
The pizzeria was placed in third position “Fratelli Figurato”, in Madrid led by Riccardo and Vittorio Figurato who, with their Diavola de León, also win the Pizza of the Year 2021 – Latteria Sorrentina Award.

Among the most coveted Special Awards, that of best pizza maker in Europe, the Pizza Maker of the Year 2021 – S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna Award, was conferred on Filomena Tursi of the local "450°C" in Turku (Finland), 36th in the general standings. While, entering the ranking in 15th place, the pizzeria "Napoli on The Road" in London wins the New Entry of the Year 2021 - Pastificio Di Martino Award. In a year in which takeaway has been of fundamental importance, the Best Takeaway Service 2021 - Robo Award goes to "The Dough Bros" in Galway, the top pizzeria in Ireland.
The best fried food proposal, Best Fried Food 2021 - Olitalia Award, is from "Naples Authentic neapolitan Pizza", from Fürth, in first position in Germany and ninth overall. The best dining room service, Best Service 2021 - Solania Award, is that of "Surt", in Copenhagen (32nd). The award for the best wine list, Best Wine List 2021 - Birrificio Fratelli Perrella Award, goes to the number one pizzeria in Belgium, eighth in Europe, "La Piola Pizza", in Brussels. The Consistent Quality 2021 – Robo Award at the Top Pizzeria in Russia 2021, “Pizza 22 CM”, in Moscow (13th). The Best Aperitif List 2021 – Solania Award, to “Kytaly” in Geneva, best restaurant in Switzerland and tenth in Europe. The Made in Italy 2021 – Latteria Sorrentina Award, assigned to the “San Gennaro” restaurant in Zurich (26th), also goes to Switzerland.
The Innovation and Sustainability 2021 – Prosecco DOC Award to “Sartoria Panatieri”, in Barcelona (11th). The Best Format 2021 – Pastificio Di Martino Award to “Positano”, from Kiev, Top Pizzeria in Ukraine 2021 and 34th in Europe. The prize for the best desserts, Best Dessert List 2021 - Olitalia Award, goes instead to "Belli di Mamma", from Budapest, best restaurant in Hungary and 42nd overall. Finally, an important recognition, the Best Pizza Training 2021 - Voce di Napoli Award, was assigned to Fabio Cristiano's school of pizza. Among the curiosities of the guide, "40 Gradi" in Lidingö, a municipality of almost 450 inhabitants located in the county of Stockholm, managed by Lars Jesper Blomqvist, former professional footballer, winner of the Champions League and Premier League with Manchester United.
The big news for 2021 is the assignment of the Green Oven (Forno Verde), a recognition that testifies to the great attention to correct practices for environmental sustainability in pizzerias. As always, the choice was entrusted to our inspectors, who evaluated respect for the environment, the fight against waste, the energy impact and all the good practices that can be implemented. The Forno Verde will be assigned, from now on, in all the 50 Top Pizza guides. For 2021, in Europe, there are only three pizzerias that will be able to boast this new recognition: Bæst, from Copenhagen, Sartoria Panatieri, from Barcelona, and Lilla Napoli, from Falkenberg.
28 European countries are represented in the ranking. At the forefront, with 5 establishments each, France and Spain, with 4 Germany and England, with 3 Denmark and Russia, with 2 Belgium, Finland and Switzerland, followed by all the remaining nations with one local each.
