The Eurostoxx50 index lost 2,8% The sales on Realualt continue, affecting the sector in Europe. FCA fails the rebound triggered by good data on registrations in Europe and closes down by 2,78%. However, it is slightly better than the main index: the Ftse Mib loses 3,07%, and is the worst among the main European markets. In just two weeks, the main index of Piazza Affari fell by 10,4%, almost canceling out the entire performance of 2015 (+13,6%). The Btp-bund spread rises to 109 points and a yield of 1,56%. Purchases on the US 2-year bond even reached yields below 1,09%. The euro recovered 1,0945 and is traded at 1,0878 (1,8 last night). Gold jumped 1093% to XNUMX dollars an ounce.

Wall Street was also hurting despite the higher-than-expected data from Michigan in January, which reached 93,3 points. The preliminary figure beats analysts' estimates by 92,2 points and is up on December's 92,6 points. However, the Empire index, which measures manufacturing activity in the state of New York, recorded a significant drop, falling in January to -19,37 points from 6,21 in December 2015, doing worse than expected. Furthermore, industrial production in December fell by 0,4% below expectations (-0,2%) with producer prices down by 0,2%, a figure instead in line with analysts' expectations.
