Raffaele Ferrara has resigned from the presidency of Consip. After leaving the general management of State Monopolies and the board of directors of Sogei in recent days, the manager he is now preparing to become managing director of Fintecna Immobiliare. According to Radiocor, the appointment is expected shortly (Ferrara, who is also a director of the Fintecna holding, has already been co-opted to the board of directors of the real estate company). Behind the decision to leave Consip, which takes place just over a year after his appointment, and also the other top positions in the public administration, Ferrara rules out that there are controversial reasons and, when asked by Radiocor, speaks of "personal needs and perspectives, including family ones. Absolutely no controversy. There more would be missing. Operations in Consip, however, should not be jeopardized as the continuity of management is guaranteed by the managing director Domenico Casalino”.

Consip is the Treasury company which manages, among other things, the program for the rationalization of purchases in the public administration. Calabrian, born in 1954, Ferrara has held various positions in top state structures. In October 2001 he assumed the position of Director for Assessment of the Revenue Agency, of which he became General Manager in January 2002, also holding the position of president of Equitalia over time. From October 2006 to April 2011 he was managing director of Consap, the concessionaire of public insurance services and from July 2008 he assumed the role of general manager of the autonomous administration of state monopolies.
