Agreement between Confagricoltura and Open Fiber to promote the diffusion of ultra-broadband in Italian farms. The agreement provides for the promotion of initiatives aimed at facilitating the creation of the network and contributing to the technological advancement of the sector, allowing entrepreneurs to make a leap towards agriculture 4.0.
“This is an agreement that assumes great importance, especially in this delicate moment of the COVID-19 health emergency, in which it has clearly emerged the strategic importance of digitization and the need to accelerate its development processes”, explain Confagricoltura and Open Fiber in a joint note.
The coronavirus emergency also showed the importance that e-commerce covers in the agri-food sector both in terms of sales and in terms of company competitiveness which, with an entirely optical fiber network, will be able to guarantee stability, speed and capacity in data transmission.
The agreement between Confindustria and Open Fiber, the companies explain again, will make it possible to carry out a series of collaborations aimed at defining and disseminating initiatives that will allow overcome the digital divide of agricultural enterprises.
