Commerzbank, profits collapse from 638 to 6 million euros

The net profit of the German institute went from 638 million euros in 2011 to 6 million in 2012 – The losses from 720 million in the fourth quarter weigh on the accounts – The operating result is growing, more than doubling.

Commerzbank's 2012 is on file, which ends with the collapse of past profits from 638 million euros in 2011 to the current 6 million. The decrease was caused by losses of 720 million recorded in the fourth quarter, due to write-downs of 560 million and charges, up from 185 million, on the sale of the Ukrainian Bank Forum.

On the other hand, the operating result of the German institute grew, to 1,2 billion euros in 2012, on the 570 million of the previous year. Revenues before credit losses remained unchanged at €9,9 billion.
