Commerzbank: 288 million losses

Commerzbank, the second largest German bank, closed the third quarter with a net loss of 288 million euros, more contained than analysts' expectations (estimated -509 million), against a net profit of 235 million in the same period of 2015, affected by the costs of the large restructuring announced in September and the effect of low rates.

Commerzbank reiterated that it expects a profit in 2016, down from the 1,06 billion euro of 2015. The bank's Cet1 at the end of the quarter rose to 11,8% and for the bank's CFO, Stephan Engels , the asset figure should rise further at the end of the year to around 12%.
