Color Regions: Lombardy remains orange, Lazio in the balance

The verdict on Friday: we are moving towards an easing of the measures in Veneto, Emilia and Calabria. Rome and Milan should remain orange, South Tyrol (and perhaps Sicily) still in red.

Color Regions: Lombardy remains orange, Lazio in the balance

Like every Friday, the verdict on the colors of the areas of the Italian regions is about to arrive: following the weekly monitoring of the ISS, the ordinance of the Ministry of Health is almost ready and the sensation, according to the data available so far, is that we are going meeting a easing of measures in several regions, with Italy that is about to become an increasingly "faded" red, tending rather to orange or yellow.

Already today, the Regions with the highest level of restrictions are only two, Sicily and Alto Adige, while most are in orange zone: Val d'Aosta, Piedmont, Lombardy, Friuli, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Liguria, Marche, Umbria, Abruzzo, Lazio, Puglia, Calabria and Sardinia. Of these, some would be about to go yellow: this fate is almost certain for Veneto, Emilia-Romagna and Calabria (i.e. for about 22 million Italians), while Lazio, Piedmont, Val d'Aosta, Liguria, Marche, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Abruzzo risk remaining orange.

Instead, Lombardy will certainly remain in the orange zone, while the Regions that are already in the yellow zone today (Trentino, Tuscany, Campania, Molise and Basilicata) will certainly remain there, just as Sicily could go from red to orange. On the other hand, it is more probable that South Tyrol will remain in the red, which could therefore from next Sunday become the only area in the country with the highest level of restrictions. It should be remembered that for the change of color the Dpcm provides that only "staying for 14 days in a risk level or scenario lower than that which determined the restrictive measures" will lead to the new classification.

In many areas of Italy, especially in the orange and red areas, there is still tension over the reopening of restaurants afterwards the “IoApro” initiative, launched two weeks ago at a national level but which has so far not collected more than many adhesions.
