ChiantiBanca changes banking group and chooses Iccrea

The major Bcc of Tuscany cancels the previous choice of Cassa Centrale Banca and arrives at Iccrea: yesterday the turnaround of the board of directors and "quickly" the assembly of ChiantiBanca to approve the new choice of field

How it had been anticipated yesterday by FIRSTonline, ChiantiBanca, the largest CCB in Tuscany and eighth in Italy for total assets with 45 branches and 27 thousand shareholders, changes sides, overturns the previous alliances, leaves the thirty Cassa Centrale Banca and joins the banking group, subject to the approval of a new shareholders' meeting led by Iccrea.

The decision was reached yesterday in the ChiantiBanca board of directors which dismissed the choice of pro Cassa court at the last meeting and pronounced itself clearly in favor of Iccrea, considered the "group closest to the tradition of ChiantiBanca" and most "responsive to its strategy".

Consequently, "the Board of Directors (of ChiantiBanca) will quickly convene the shareholders' meeting so that it can validly express its opinion on membership of the group which, following the necessary assessments, will be the one most consistent with the strategic prospects of ChiantiBanca" which for the top of the Bcc of San Casciano in Val di Pesa is now Iccrea, even if for the future there is hope for the "creation of a single group" of cooperative credit banks, as hoped by Iccrea itself which had to undergo the divorce of the Central Bank Cash.

So now the word goes back to the 27 shareholders of ChiantiBanca.
