The initiative involves 49 dairies in all the provinces of the Zone of Origin of Parmigiano Reggiano, i.e Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Bologna to the left of the Reno river and Mantua to the right of the Po.

Guided tours of dairies, stables and maturing warehouses, open shops, events for children and tastings, combined with the passion of the cheesemakers will offer the opportunity to take part in a tour of the area of ​​origin of Parmigiano Reggiano, of its lands rich in history, art and culture. Witnessing the birth and opening of the wheel, strolling in the evocative warehouses, veritable cathedrals of cheese, buying the cheese directly from the hands of those who create it: all unique experiences that the visitor can experience in an authentic a journey through time to discover the artisanal manufacturing method, which has remained virtually unchanged for over nine centuries. Parmigiano Reggiano, in fact, is produced today with the same ingredients as it was a thousand years ago (raw milk, salt and rennet), with unchanged artisan care, thanks to the choice to maintain a completely natural production, without the use of additives or preservatives .
