Rai fee 2018: last days not to pay

Rai fee 2018: last days not to pay

Rai fee 2018, last call. In order not to pay the 90 euros that are automatically charged to electricity bills for the January-October period, you have to move within the next few days. There is time until Wednesday 31 January to send the substitutive declaration of non-detention, the document in which you declare that you do not own the television and therefore that you are entitled to exemption from the Rai license fee. Anyone who misses this deadline and sends the self-certification between February 30st and June 45th will still have to pay the fee due for the first semester of this year, equal to XNUMX euros.

The Rai fee is due only for the first home and anyone in possession of a "device suitable or adaptable for the reception of television broadcasts" is required to pay it. Translation: even if the TV is turned off or is used exclusively to watch channels other than Rai, the fee must still be paid, while anyone who watches TV on a PC or smartphone is exempt.

The State starts from an assumption: anyone who holds a contract for the supply of electricity also has a TV, for which the charge of the fee starts automatically. Those entitled to exemption must take steps to communicate it every year, otherwise they will be forced to pay. Over 75s with an annual income not exceeding 6.713 euros are also exempt from the payment.

The self-declaration form is available on the website of the Revenue Agency. Each taxpayer can send it via a web application available on the Revenue website, using the Fisconline or Entratel credentials issued by the Agency. You can also request the help of authorized intermediaries such as Cafs and professionals, or send the model by post with a copy of a document in a registered letter without envelope to the address "Agenzia delle Entrate Ufficio di Torino 1, SAT - Sportello abbonamenti tv - PO Box 22 – 10121 Turin”. Alternatively, it is possible to use certified e-mail (Pec), with digital signature, by sending the message to cp22.sat@postacertificata.rai.it.
