Change at the top for Danone

Change at the top for Danone. The president and managing director Franck Riboud, after 18 years at the helm of the company, hands over the role of CEO to Emmanuel Faber, who until now has been his deputy.

Son of the founder Antoine Riboud, who joined Danone 30 years ago, the 58-year-old Franck will keep his position as president to concentrate on the broad strategic lines. The change implies a change in governance, with the dissociation of the functions of chairman from those of chief executive officer.

The new set-up, which will enter into force on XNUMX October, responds "to Franck Riboud's desire to concentrate on Danone's major strategic orientations in the medium and long term" and is aimed at "preparing his succession at the top of the agency".

Faber, 50, joined Danone in 1997 as finance director.
