The Volkswagen case risks having a very large impact on the Italian production system. To say it is the Deputy Minister of Economic Development Carlo Calenda in Milan for the forum of sovereign wealth funds.
“The risk is very big… Volskwagen is a group that buys a lot in the Italian production chain, especially in the north-west area,” said Calenda, who heads the delegation for exports.
According to Calenda, Volskwagen's problems are added to the more general ones created by the slowdown in growth of the Chinese economy.
"The growth in international trade of 4,5% for 2016 included in the update note of the Def in the light of these problems is no longer conservative but real," said the deputy minister.
