Last days of African heat over Italy. After which the sub-tropical anticyclone Scipione will leave the peninsula, which will return to normal temperatures for the whole next week, before the arrival, in early July, of the second anomalous wave of this early summer, called Charon.
The weekend will still be hot especially on Fridays and Saturdays, mostly in the central-southern regions, where the highest temperatures in Europe will be recorded, with peaks of 40 degrees in Sicily and 35 in some cities such as Florence and Rome. In the North, however, the first storms have already granted a respite from the heat, especially in Piedmont and Lombardy, where violent hailstorms already occurred yesterday, which they reported the mercury column below 29 degrees, therefore on normal values.
In the south, on the other hand, the intense heat will continue for a few days, but will gradually ease. Beautiful sunny days await us next week with still 30-35 degrees, but drier and with the passage of thunderstorms in the Alps and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
