Inconvenience ahead for Italian citizens who will have to face a series of strikes located throughout the boot over the weekend. Both public transport and trains will stop. The protest will culminate in the air traffic controllers' strike scheduled for April 9.

Train strike 8 April 2016

Those who have to travel by train on Friday XNUMX April would do well to take a look at the protests planned throughout Italy:

– Piedmont: 8-hour strike by Trenitalia which will stop the Cargo division for the entire shift throughout the Region from 9,00 to 17,00.

– Naples: trains stopped for 24 hours due to the strike by the railway sector staff of the EAV company.

– Sicily: the mobile personnel in charge of the Trenitalia passenger division will cross arms from 21.00 on 7 April to 21,00 on 8.

– Bolzano, infrastructure maintenance personnel will protest within 8 working hours

Transport strike 8 April

In parallel, a nationwide strike on city public transport is planned. Below is the list of cities involved:

– Bari the staff of the AMTAB company will stop for 24 hours

– Rome: in the capital the strike will concern Atac staff and that of the Trotta company. At risk bus, metro and tram. The event will take place at 20,30 until the end of the service.

– Padua: 4-hour strike by Busitalia Veneto company personnel from 16,30 to 20,30.

– Reggio Emilia: the staff of the TIL company will go on strike from 17,15 to 20,15.

Air traffic controllers strike 9 April

On Saturday 9 April in all the airports of the Peninsula, the autonomous union UNICA called a four-hour strike from 10 to 14. More than 250 flights are expected to be cancelled. The major criticalities will be recorded above all in the airports of Rome, Milan, Venice, Naples, Catania.

The strike was called in order to protest against "the sector contract by organizing a strike which, given the high percentages of membership recently (50% and more), we know very well that it will create many inconveniences."

Alongside UNICA, Anpcat (National Professional Association of Air Traffic Controllers and Assistants) will also strike. During the strike, however, both trade unions will be guaranteed the minimum services required by law.
