Brexit, May: stop to European job seekers

"People will no longer be allowed to arrive from Europe on the off chance that they can find a job." This is what was written on Facebook by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Theresa May, on the day in which Downing Street does not render the long-awaited White Paper, that is to say the 120-page document containing the plan on relations to be maintained with the European Union a once Brexit is final.

"We will always welcome - adds Mai - the qualified professionals who help our economy thrive, from doctors to nurses, engineers and entrepreneurs but, for the first time in decades, we will have full control of our borders". Simply put, the now well-known White Paper should provide a privileged lane for professionals and businessmen from the European Union, a lane which young people and students should also enjoy.

Does the British government's Brexit plan drawn up last week “mean the end of freedom of movement? Will we be able to sign our own trade agreements? And will the UK be outside the jurisdiction of the European Court? I am pleased to say that the answers are very simple: yes, yes and yes”, writes the Premier, reassuring the Brexit hawks on the one hand and the citizens who voted in favor of Leave on 23 June 2016 on the other.

May further explains that the British government intends to keep trade flowing by establishing a "common set of rules". Nonetheless, the project will decree the end of the free movement of people and will allow the United Kingdom to define its own trade agreements, in parallel disengaging from the jurisdiction of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
