Brexit, Juncker: “May lives in another world”

"Disastrous" meeting between the president of the European Commission, Juncker, and the British premier, Theresa May on Brexit - For Juncker, May "lives in another galaxy" and her proposals are "unrealistic"

The dinner meeting on Brexit between the President of the European Commission, Jean Claude Juncker, and the British Prime Minister Theresa May was "disastrous". Total incompatibility of views on the process of the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union after the 27 had chosen the hard line and London had rejected the path traced by Brussels.

It was Juncker himself who accounted for the total failure of the meeting. The president of the European Commission said, plainly, that May has made unrealistic proposals and that she "lives in another galaxy". But Europe does not seem inclined to give discounts to those who have freely decided to go out and provocatively think of making the United Kingdom a sort of Hong Kong to compete in tax terms with the Old Continent.
