Bper: ok to the merger plan for Carife

The Plan for the Merger by incorporation of Nuova Cassa di Risparmio di Ferrara into BPER Banca was filed on Monday 18 September by Bper with the Modena companies register. After the green light from the supervisory authorities, the last piece of the reorganization of the banks in central Italy that ended up in the eye of the storm is closed. Nuova Carife was in fact the last of the 4 "good banks" saved by the state to be acquired after UBI Banca had already acquired three.

The merger will be submitted to the approval of the Nuova Carife Board of Directors after it has already obtained the go-ahead from the BPER Board of Directors.

The shareholders of BPER Banca who represent at least five percent of the share capital - specifies a note - can request that the merger be approved by the Acquiring Company with a resolution of the shareholders' meeting. The share capital of BPER Banca, fully subscribed and paid up, is equal to Euro 1.443.925.305 and is represented by 481.308.435 shares with no par value.

In Piazza Affari, the share of BPER Banca shows an increase of 1,61%.
