Stock exchanges in retreat, Wall Street is scary. Mediobanca holds Milan

Even the European stock exchanges are starting to close a stormy week lower. After a calmer start, the markets deteriorate as the opening of the American stock exchanges approaches. No reaction emerges from futures on American indices after yesterday's collapse, derivatives retreat by 0,2%.

In Milan the index Ftse Eb marks a drop of about 1,3% around 22.300 points. However, the Italian Stock Exchange remains the only one on positive ground since the beginning of the year. The other markets of the old continent are also in red: The Dax di Frankfurt falls by 1,4% and the Cac40 by Paris marks a decline of 1,4%.

The global index Stoxx 600 it is at its lowest since August 2017.

More good news for the EU economy. It strengthens industrial production, which in December 2017 recorded an increase of 1,6% compared to November and of 4,9% on an annual basis. In France, the increase in December was 0,5%, much better than the consensus (-0,5%).

Banca Akros has raised its rating to "accumulated" from "neutral".

The system's gross non-performing loans amounted to 167 billion (173 in November), while the net ones fell to 64,4 billion.

Other bank stocks worsened at the end of the morning. Unicredit -1,3%. The stock that started down this morning had come to gain 1,5%. Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan strengthened the Buy. Understanding -2%.

B for Bank-0,7%. Yesterday evening the company released the data for the year and proposed an increase in the coupon.
