Weak stock exchanges but Ferragamo leaps at Piazza Affari

European stock exchanges waiting to know the minutes of the Fed on rates - Piazza Affari dances around parity but Ferragamo leads the rebound which also includes Banco Bpm, Luxottica, Stm, Salini and Cattolica Assicurazioni - Recordati still down but also Saipem, Enel and Atlantia – Boom of Poligrafici Editoriale (+10,5%)

Weak stock exchanges but Ferragamo leaps at Piazza Affari

The positive opening of Wall Street in the afternoon encourages European stock markets which recover compared to the morning. Piazza Affari closes close to parity, -0,09%, 22.653 points. Today is Ferragamo (+2,61%) the queen of the price list, with the Milan fashion week coming to life. The banks are opposed; weak oil and utilities.

They make moderate profits London +0,48% and Paris, +0,23%, while a Madrid -0,73% and Frankfurt -0,14%, sales prevail, thanks to the disappointing February preliminary data on manufacturing and tertiary activity in France, Germany and the Eurozone. On the contrary, similar US data exceed expectations, marking growth compared to January. Waiting for the Fed to publish the minutes of the last meeting tonight, the Dow Jones recover 25.000 points and also Nasdaq e S & P500 are moving into positive territory. US equities are mainly supported by technology stocks and Amazon.

Il dollar its recovery continues and the exchange rate with the euro is slightly above 1,23 (-0,24%). The Petroleum recovers from the lows of the session: Brent at 65,27 dollars a barrel, (+0,03%).

THEgold on the other hand it loses its polish, 1328,39 dollars an ounce (-0,06%).

The Italian bond was stable, with the yield on the 10-year BTP at 2,05% and the spread with the Bund at 132.10 basis points, +0,15%.

In Piazza Affari the best blue chips are, after Ferragamo, Bpm bank +1,55%; stm +1,62%, which benefits from the ferment in the microchip sector; Luxottica +1,35%; Exor + 1,02%.

The sales strike again Recordati, -1,73%. Atlantia falls by 1,48%, on the day of the meeting with which the members approved the extension from 30 April to 30 November of the deadline for the execution of the capital increase to service the Public Offer on Abertis. They go down Saipem, -1,47% and Tenaris, -1,13%, the latter waiting to release the 2017 accounts tomorrow morning. Below Enel -1,47%
