The stock market day starts badly for Telecom Italia shares, which less than an hour after the start of trading lose more than three points, suffering the worst fall of the entire Ftse Mib. The selling on the stock was triggered by the stop unbundling the network announced yesterday evening by the company at the end of an extraordinary board meeting.
"In reaffirming the importance of the project not only for Telecom Italia, but for the development of the country's telecommunications system - reads the note from Telecom -, the board of directors acknowledged that the uncertainties introduced by the recent decisions of Agcom risk jeopardizing its feasibility. It has therefore resolved that, before proceeding to further implementation phases of the same, the consistency of the contents and of the regulatory process with the assumptions underlying the project is verified".
