Positive stock market thanks to manufacturing and banks

Thanks to the banks, Piazza Affari starts the week slightly up.

The FtseMib index marks +0,2%. The other European Stock Exchanges are in red.

The composite PMI index came in better than expected at 54,9, up from 54,2 in October. Positive news also for the Eurozone: the composite PMI index for the Eurozone in November rose to 54,4 from 53,9, expected at 54. This is the best result in the last 4 and a half years.

On the currency front, the dollar moved to its lowest level in the last seven months against the euro: cross 1,0640.

Bond yields rose, albeit slightly: the German 0,50-year bond rose above the 0,47% threshold from 1,51% on Friday. The BTP trades at 1,48% from 100%. The spread remains unchanged at XNUMX basis points.

The entire European banking sector is recovering (Eurostoxx Banks +0,5%). In Italy, the reaction to the SalvaBanche decree in favor of Cassa di Risparmio di Ferrara, Banca delle Marche, Banca Etruria and Cassa di Risparmio di Chieti is taking center stage.

In Piazza Affari it takes off Unicredit + 2,2%.

They also go up Understanding + 0,5% MontePaschi + 1,5% B.Pop. Emilia + 2%. 

The session is also conditioned by the detachment of the advance dividend by AtlantiaSiasTenaris

The detachment of the dividend does not slow down either Mediolanum +0,8% neither Mediobanca up 2,4%. This morning the stock posted a dividend per share of 0,35 euro for a gross yield of 2,71%).

Recover from initial lows (-3%) Tod’s -1,3%. The company has approved the acquisition of the Roger Vivier brand, for which it currently has the licence, for 415 million euros. The seller is Gousson, a company controlled by Diego and Andrea Della Valle, who are the majority shareholders of Tod's. Gousson has undertaken to reinvest 207,5 million in Tod's by subscribing to a reserved capital increase.

 Weak throughout the luxury sector with Moncler down 1,68%, Ferragamo 0,9%.

He misses out Geox -2,5%, Mediobanca lowered the recommendation to Underperform from Neutral (Target €3,10).

in the rest of the list FiatChrysler +1,07%, ATM +0,9%.

Telecom Italy resets initial gains: Fitch revised the outlook to stable from negative, confirming the “BBB-“ rating.  

Mediaset
 -0,8%.

Enel rebounds 0,24%, Terna -2,26%. Down by one percentage point too Eni e Saipem.

Out of the main leap of list Carraro +10% after the agreement for the sale of 55% of the German O&K Antriebstechnik to Bonfiglioli: the group remaining with 45%.
