Stock Exchange, the Single Network pushes Tlc and Mediaset

The European lists close down, after having lost all the momentum of the morning in the afternoon. At the origin of the U-turn is the negative performance of Wall Street, cautious at the start, but now sharply down. In particular, the Nasdaq, back from a long series of records, is currently losing about 4%, weighed down by sales on glues such as Apple, Tesla, Facebook, Amazon. The technology sector fell 2,9%, while communication services and non-essential consumer goods fell 1% each. Piazza Affari closes the session in black jersey, -1,54%, at 19.552 points e the spread also goes up: 147 basis points, +2,21%, with a 0,98-year BTP rate up to XNUMX%.

In the rest of Europe, Frankfurt -1,42% and London -1,48% are in deep red, while Madrid, which was a bit behind yesterday, is the only one that manages to keep the plus sign and rises by 0,13 ,0,44%. Paris can't make it, -XNUMX%, despite the 100 billion plan launched by the government to support the economy. The euro-dollar moved little, with the exchange rate slightly unfavorable to the single currency at around 1,183. Still declines for oil: Brent -2,13%, 43,48 dollars a barrel. Gold is flat, 1941,5 dollars an ounce. In Milan, sales penalize Stm above all, -6,92%, in the wake of the decline in American technology. Profit-taking knocks out Atlantia, -6,13%. returning from the 16% leap of the day before.

After various ups and downs, the stock stops in negative territory, despite today's expected extraordinary board of directors confirming the establishment of a newco for the split of Aspi, which it is the necessary first step to continue the negotiations with CDP. The knot to be solved, however, would still be that of the evaluation of Autostrade. “I am moderately confident that a shared solution will be reached – says Economy Minister Roberto Gualtieri – I am confident but also cautious”. Negative Diasorin -5,56%; Finecobank -4,75% and Nexi -4,62%. Banks are bad. Bper loses 3,18%, on the day of the green light to take over the 532 branches of Intesa Sanpaolo, following the success of the Offer on Ubi.

Even Mps, which had run with the green light turned on by the ECB to carry out the partial demerger of non-performing loans in favor of Amco, eventually yielded 0,77%. Purchases, on the other hand, reward the automotive sector and return to Telecom +0,99%. Good Exor +1,83%; Pirelli +1,22%; Fiat +1,14%. Rebound for oil stocks: Tenaris +0,69%; Saipem +0,29%; Eni +0,28%. Progress for utilities. Leonardo dropped 0,45%, after spending most of the session higher thanks to a £317m contract with Bae Systems to develop the European Common Radar System Mark 2 electronically scanned radar for the Typhoon Raf and the successful launch of the European Vega rocket, designed and built by Avio (+6,6%), an aerospace company in which Leonardo owns 29,6% of the shares.

Outside the main basket, Tiscali deflates, -49,9%, which in the last six sessions had gained about 190% following the memorandum of understanding with Telecom for an investment through the FiberCop secondary network. Instead, Mediaset shines, +5,18%, which takes note of today's ruling by the European Court of Justice against the ceiling imposed by Agcom on the stake held by Vivendi, and says it is ready to evaluate opportunities in telecommunications and in particular the single network business in fiber if the regulatory framework allows it.
