According to analysts, this turnaround, combined with GE's commitment to strengthen Alstom's transport division, should accelerate the sector's consolidation process with benefits for the Finmeccanica subsidiaries, Sts and Breda, which are destined to become targets.
Mediobanca Securities believes that, if the Ge-Alstom marriage causes one of the potential interested parties in the Finmeccanica subsidiaries to leave the scene, on the other hand it obliges Bombardier to come forward.
